Imagine that you are dying. If you had a terminal disease would you finish this book? Why not? The thing that annoys this 10-weeks-to-live self is the thing that is wrong with the book. So change it. Stop arguing with yourself. Change it. See? Easy. And no one had to die. – Anne Enrigh

I loved this quote by Anne Enright. It made me think about what I would do if I was set this challenge of only 10 weeks to write my book from start to finish and could I do that?

I mulled over the many creative ideas I have for books and it soon became clear that if I was given just 10 weeks I’d certainly prioritise which book idea I’d take forward and what kind of book I’d want to leave behind as a legacy.

And would I be able to write this in ten weeks? I’m sure with only ten weeks left to live my book would be a reality.

Are you up for the ten week challenge? Try it.

And just in case your wondering … my first book was written within eight weeks … first draft of course and soon to be published.
